I loved so much about this chair, it broke my heart to return it. The hydraulic-lift back/lumbar support is unique and seems like an excellent design. The seat itself was very comfortable, and the synchro-type back tilt was good. But the single-position arms gave me no way to adjust them other than up out of the way. The arms didn't extend far enough out for comfort, and for me were too low. Also, since they attached to the back of the chair rather than the base, when you tilt back, the arms point up in the air; my forearms were pivoting on just the tip of the arm. It's a shame; pair this chair design with a more practical, adjustable set of arms and this is a chair to own.

The first thing I noticed about this chair was the horizontal support bar that digs into your back. My previous office chair had a bar that was generously curved away from your spine to avoid that. This chair's bar barely has a curve, so leaning back means you are almost instantly in contact with the bar. I should have returned it then and there, because that is just bad design.

The second issue I have—which is the dealbreaker for this model—is that the mesh backing on the back support is flimsy. Instead of a semi-rigid mesh, this chair uses a soft, cloth-based mesh that has entirely too much give in the fabric to stand up to daily use. It started stretching and sagging within a couple of weeks. Now the mesh has begun to separate from the plastic frame entirely. It is tucked into a channel in the plastic and apparently is meant to stay in place through friction alone. Now the issue with the support bar is even worse, because the back is not providing any resistance between you and that uncomfortable bar.

Was really excited to find this chair as had been looking for months.
Pro's - Assembly was a breeze. The lumbar is exceptional, especially in the reclining position!! Wheels are OK.
Con's - The seat is too hard. The arms are too high and tilt slightly upward. The seat lever is too far back to reach comfortably while trying to stand to allow the seat to raise.
My fix was to get a purple seat cushion as anything thicker will not work as there is no room / gap in the lumbar back to allow for a thicker cushion and function correctly. The lumbar will push your bottom forward which causes discomfort. This could be improved by raising the lumbar moving section up a few inches, leaving space at the bottom so the curve of the back actually fits the curve of your back and allow for a seat cushion or add a few inches of memory foam to the seat itself. Overall a great design concept!!
